How to monitor Meraki Switch in SolarWinds

I have some Meraki APs I monitor via API and SNMP.

Meraki Switches however, are providing very little information via API because of the polling being via SD-WAN Orchestrator.

As far as I know we cannot create Meraki API polling framework into SolarWinds Orion.

I've attempted adding Meraki Switches as nodes via SNMP, however the connection continues to fail.

For anyone who got Meraki Switch monitoring to work with SolarWinds, can you share info to help another person out?

I'm monitoring multiple Meraki switch models via SNMP (v2) and no issues with this. Can you provide some more information about your setup and the error you are getting? Are you using combined networks in Meraki or dedicated network for switches, have you enabled SNMP in the Network wide -> General settings (v2 or v3)? If v3, what settings did you try on Meraki and Solarwinds end?

I haven't tried via SNMP V2. We have gotten them connected now via SNMP V3 (meraki must be SHA1/DES56) and yes it is Network > General.
However it's the Catalysts we converted over to Meraki OS that report strangely to Solarwinds, quite different than running Cisco IOS on it.

Indeed, I can see the same with some C9300 running Meraki OS, especially the port naming that is in MAC_Address/port_number format. But this looks to be how SNMP reports data, not because Solarwinds reads it incorrectly.

I agree, just something to note for those who attempt this conversion. Also SNMPv3 was a little hard to get to work on those devices. The settings set in Meraki Dashboard did not match the actual SNMPV3 settings shown in the CLI (visible via Meraki Dash). You have to match the CLI settings to SW to get it to connect.
