Hi,
How do you monitor changes in a specific folder in Windows? Especially if the User entering the VM is using its AD Account?
Is it also possible to monitor the whole drive of the Windows VM?
Thank you.
Hello @apaguinto . Yes, it is possible to monitor both a specific folder, and a Drive in a Windows VM.First, lets talk about monitoring a Drive. That is easy. There's a number of ways to do it, so I cwont cover them all here, but I will show you that I am monitoring my SolarWinds Test Machine, a Windows VM, hosted in a VSphere instance:I have a scheduled scan that runs every evening that monitors my AD structure for new Servers. Monitoring a specific folder, is a little more complicated, but easy enough to accomplish. You can use the SAM Template titled File Change Monitor and assign it to any node that you need. You can get more detailed information on Volume Monitoring here: documentation.solarwinds.com/.../core-monitor-volumes.htm
Thanks for tip!
Happy to help!
