Primary Polling Engine host certificate found on all APEs and AWS servers certificate store

Hello,

My server admins came to me today with an odd issue. They were having some WRM communication issues with some of my polling engines and found the issue was that each of my polling engines have not only their own certificates but also the certificates for my primary polling engine host. I have no explanation as to why this exists, it's been ongoing as there was both expired and current certs there. Has anyone noticed this same behavior? Do any of you also have certificates for your primary polling engine host on your APEs? This would be in the Local Computer\Personal\Certificate store. The certs don't appear to be exportable as they don't have the private key associated with them. Again, super bizarre and can be found on all of my servers.

Hi, can you specify names of certificate(s) you are talking about? There are 2 shared across engines, but more of them are different per engine, even having the same name.

These are hostname certificates not SolarWinds specific which is the odd thing. For example let's say my primary polling engine host is Orion1 and my APE is APE3. In the cert store previously mentioned I have certs for orion1.domain along side ape3.domain own certs. This causes some issues when using some WRM based connections not-solarwinds related as there are now two certs that come up. I just don't know why or how the primary polling engine cert has gotten on the APEs. But it has to be something related to the software as it's consistent across all my APEs and Web servers and isn't found on non-solarwinds servers.
