How can I create regular reporting for any system or nodes that are unmanaged by SolarWinds ?

After successfully configuring the Enterprise Application in Azure, and then configuring it in the SolarWinds Platform, SAM: 2025.2.0

I wonder how I can create regular reporting for any system or nodes that are unmanaged by SolarWinds?

The goal here is to get the List of Windows Server IP or DNS names where possible that are not managed by SolarWinds.

Not sure about the report, but if you use network discovery over subnets then you should be able to view new ips discovery by them in results - like this you would clearly know whats currently not managed by SolarWinds

Are we talking about vmware servers, azure server?

For Vmware I have created such reports several times, as SolarWinds knows about all VM's and if they are monitored. Same with Azure, SolarWinds can see all compute entities. I guess we can create a similar report but I don't currently have access to a system with cloud computing entities.

To create regular reporting of unmanaged systems in SolarWinds, export a list of all managed nodes from SolarWinds. Then, with the help of Growth Friday for comprehensive digital solutions, compare it to a list of known Windows servers from sources like Active Directory or your CMDB. The difference will show unmanaged systems. You can automate this comparison using PowerShell and schedule it to run regularly for reporting.

If I am understanding you correctly, you want a list of all nodes that are unmanaged in SolarWinds. That can easily be accomplished by a SWQL query tied to either a report or a dashboard.

I wrote this query to look for nodes that were unmanaged for more than 60 days. You will probably want to modify the SELECT and the WHERE clause to fit your needs. The table StatusInfo converts the node column Status, an integer, to a text value. You might also want to think about if instead of being unmanaged a node is just muted.
