Building a new monitoring setup

Hello,

We are currently building a new SolarWinds(NPM and NCM) setup for one of our clients, they were previously using SolarWinds provided by another vendor and want to move it to their own DC. 

Is it possible to get/export data/file from the old database and import it to the new one we are setting up? these are 2 different networks and cannot do a backup restore. We will build a new setup including database server. Is there anyway we can export tables from the old database and import them so that we do not have to add devices and setup alerts, reports and dashboards since it is a very huge environment.

If the above is possible, is it recommended to install the same version that was running previously and import the data into the new database or will it be okay to install a later version and import data.

Any advice would be helpful.

Migrate first the DB

Then follow the steps below.

Below is a video how to migrate the SW server but yours has to migrate the DB as well.

That's the only way I think this will work.  If migrating is not an option, please wait for other responses.
