End of Life—Internet Explorer Transactions in Web Performance Monitor
Please note updated versions and release dates related to the removal of Internet Explorer based transactions from Web Performance Monitor.
Internet Explorer based transactions in WPM have reached end-of-life status, and we plan to remove the functionality from the product starting with version 2025.4, tentatively scheduled for release in October 2025.
Starting with version 2025.4 of WPM, only the Chromium-based recorder and player will be shipped with WPM. The 2025.4 installer will block upgrades where Internet Explorer based transactions are present. It is critical that you make plans to migrate or re-record any Internet Explorer based transactions before attempting to upgrade to 2025.4.

We released version 2024.1 of WPM in February 2024, which included a transaction migration tool designed to automatically migrate some Internet Explorer based transactions. You can use this tool or use the Chromium recorder included in the product to re-record Internet Explorer based transactions.

How to determine if you have any affected recordings:
Unsure if your environment contains any Internet Explorer based recordings? To find out, simply navigate to:
Settings -> All Settings -> Product Specific Settings -> WPM Settings -> Manage Recordings.
Sort the column “Recorder Type” and look for any entries marked “Deprecated.”
If you experience any errors using the migration tool or recording transactions with the Chromium-based recorder, please open a ticket with support.
We realize this change will have an impact on some customers. We hope our communication efforts provide ample time for your organization to take the necessary steps required for your environment.
