We are trying to lock down windows inbound firewall rules.
We have noticed that DMRC continues to automatically open an inbound firewall port for 6129 called "Dameware Mini Remote Control GPO"
This is fine obviously to allow inbound connections from the outside, but we would like to change the remote scope on this firewall rule to specific subnets or IPs for security as everyone is behind a VPN.
Unfortunately, the policy appears locked by the System Administrator when trying to edit the firewall rule.
Deleting the rule, even through the registry, on the next reboot, it comes back, so it appears that Dameware is enforcing this at the system level.
Has anyone ever come across this, if so, do you know of a way to get around it?
Is there a way to configure DMRC to bypass this rule?
