Shifting IPAM load to multiple additional poller

Hi,

We are using multiple Pollers including Primary and additionals.

But IPAM load is very high on main polling engine almost greater than 10M and we need to move some DHCP servers to other pollers, by just moving DHCP servers to other pollers IPAM load can be divided?

If there is any guidlines please share

Honestly I found the GUI for this to be pretty frustrating, so i always ended up just editing them directly in the DB by changing the associated engineid

Yes that can be very helpful if you can share the DB script so that it can be balanced as per the documented limitations.

Don't have IPAM in my current role, but it was something pretty basic like

update ipam_ipnode <this is maybe not the table name for this, but its been a long time since i saw it>
set engineid = x
where <whatever logic made sense at the time>

Thanks for the share. I moved the DHCP servers on different pollers and emptied main poller from DHCP servers, all DHCP servers are on other additional pollers now but still main poller is showing heavy load what could be the reason behind it?

You are only describing moving the DHCP server to a different poller. Did you also move the subnets to a different Poller?

Thanks @donrobert5 this article is really awesome but before doing this how can we verify the current association of subnets with pollers?
