CPU and Memory error for cisco 9300 17.6.5 cat9K_IOXE -- Issue with CPU and memory. Any new poller raised.
Kindly advice
Hi geo1
I have C9300 on IOS 17.6.5 and CPU/MEM pollers are working well.
Please check by logging in to the main polling engine and running SolarWinds.PollerChecker.Gui.exe from the Solarwinds installation folder. Then find your device on the list (you can paste name in the Filter field), select it, select Cpu and Memory in the second column and click Detect Pollers at the top. In all cases where I have IOS 17.6.5 I have N.Cpu.SNMP.CiscoGen3 and N.Memory.SNMP.CiscoGen3 selected. If you have some other pollers selected, please select the row with N.Cpu.SNMP.CiscoGen3 then click on Add/Replace Pollers at the top. Repeat this for the memory poller. On next poll you should get the correct values.
You can also right click on the row with a given poller and select Poll Now to see what data you are getting (before replacing the poller).
Hope this helps.
Hello Maciej,
I have checked for snmp gen3 itself. But cpu showing 0% or 1%. The real values ins 6%.
What command are you using on the switch to check CPU load? Is it 'show process cpu'? Which metric is showing 6% (5 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes)? Note that Solarwinds by default polls this data every 9 minutes and it appears to be using 5 minutes value from SNMP (OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.8). But it looks like the information shown in the CLI and presented via SNMP are not aligned and this doesn't look to be an issue with NPM, but rather with how Cisco SNMP presents the data.
