SQL Sentry and ServiceNow

Has anyone taken the time to try to get a good working SQL Sentry ServiceNow Alert Action working? I am a SWO-OnPrem SolarWinds install so Platform connect does not seem to be an option. I guess I'm looking at either a PowerShell integration or a Webhook integration. I'm mostly interested in the Webhook though. It seems the PS method means a script edit for every condition the action is attached to? Before I start trying to become a SN developer by trying to create a scripted REST resource, I'm wondering if anyone has already accomplished this and wouldn't mind sharing.

Thanks for asking the question James. We are also interested in implementing ServiceNow integration with SQL Sentry and would love to hear your experience.

I gave the webhook development about a day and gave that up. I was able to produce a PS script that does the job but, as I mentioned the script has to be applied and to some extent mdified for every condition that warrents incident ticketing.

Thanks for responding. So I'm guessing you had to add an action (Powershell command) to each condition you wanted to send to ServiceNow? Yes. Sounds cumbersome. I'll look into it, but obviously was hoping for a more seamless integration.

Another approach, if you have SWO-SH or just Log Analyzer, is to have Sentry send you an SNMP trap. I'm still looking at that in terms of extracting the information from a Sentry SNMP trap such that I can properly populate the incident ticket for ServiceNow.

Curious to know if you have looked into using Platform Connect:

If you have a subscription license for SQL Sentry you can use this, or if you reach out to your account manager they should be able to provide you with a temp key to test it out.

I think the last time I looked at this it only worked if your SolarWinds was the SaaS offering SWO. We are SWOSHe (on-prem enterprise)
