C drive is getting full on SolarWinds main polling server

Hello,

I am writing to address an issue concerning the C drive space on our system. The SolarWinds application is currently installed on the C drive and is utilizing 90% of the available space. Could someone please advise on potential measures we can take to free up space on the C drive?

Out-of-the-box is configured for debug. If you are not experencing any issues - you can bump it down to warning.

Large log files are indication of an issue and that should be resolved first. For example, this is from CoreBusinessLayer

There is something wrong with the permissions. The Orion app seemingly works fine - but there are a lot of issues on the backend.

What I look for are these numbers on log files. They stand out and lets me know that I need to go into them to find the root cause and fix it.

I have seen some clients install the app on drive C without any issue.

I wish I had a quick answer, but it really does depend on what's going on the system. The version of Orion, If you're on HCO or non-HCO.

For the most part, I would recommend the client to spend at least 2 hours a day on maintaining the SolarWinds platform.

If digging through the logs doesn't sound like fun, then I would suggest you open a case with SolarWinds.

Most clients I work with turn off all logging in Log Adjuster. They turn it back on when investigating issues. The advantage is that Orion seems to be snappier.

WHen you need logging turned back on. CLick on reset to default.

Hi @cscoengineer The Server Team has allocated approximately 80 GB for the C: drive and 149 GB for the drive. However, during the installation process, the installer did not modify the default installation path to the drive. As a result, the SolarWinds application has been installed on the C: drive, which is now experiencing high utilization.

I checked the Log adjuster and for everything it is set to DEBUG, Do I need to reset to default.?
