Changing a poller to become the main poller.

We are looking into some advice if anyone has done the below procedure?

We need to move the SolarWinds main poller roll to another server but leave the old main poller as an additional poller. For example currently "Server1" is main poller and "Server2" is additional poller so need to change roles around so that "Server1" is additional poller and "Server2" is main poller. Database is installed separately on "Server3" How can I achieve this.

Also to note, the new additional server 'Server2' is Azure.

Any advice, help or pointing me in the right direction for articles will be gratefully accepted.

Unfortunately for you it will need re-installation of both Servers. The installation for a Main Poller is different to an Additional Poller. They cannot simply swap roles. You will need to uninstall the software from both pollers, then follow the below guide to migrate to the new configuration:
