Hello, Is there a built in poller or does this switch need a custom one? The community pollers will not open for me.
Cheers
What version are you running? SolarWinds added more support for Aruba in 2025.1 which was released Feb 2025. You can read more in the release notes.https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/npm/content/release_notes/npm_2025-1_release_notes.htm
Is there any more specific documentation?
Hi,
Be careful with value returned by Solarwinds for Aruba 2930M, SW return a CPU value that is no true if you compare localy on your switch or with a custom poller.
In addition 2930M stacking are not supported.
I suggest build some custom poller that will return true value (better for stacking monitoring)
Following custom poller work well (on standalone and stacking):
* hpsystemAircurrenttemp
* hpstacktopology
* hpicfrpvst......
* hpicfFanState
* hpicfBridgeloopProtect....
* hpicfPsState
HP-ICF-xxxxxx.mib are usefull for 2930M
Hey Josh,
Thera are several pollers already built and shared in Content Exchange:As you have a THWACK ID, then so long as your SW install has a path to the internet you should be able to go to: Settings > All Settings > Manage Pollers and then click on the tab that says ' THWACK Community Pollers'.Then just search for, as I did 'Aruba' and it will return the above plus a few more. Tick the box and hit that import device poller button. Then simply assign it to a device to test, go to that node, hit 'poll now' and then spam the refresh until it updates. Or just wait if you have the patience.I built our own one and forgot to share to the world and by the time I remembered others had already done the same. But it will show the following on the node details tab:
Meant to add, if you don't have internet access then download the pollers from THWACK, copy across to your server and install.
This link: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/search?q=Aruba&group=125 should get you most of the Aruba ones.
