Custom Poller Thresholds

I've created a UnDP to pull chassis temperatures temperatures of my routers and switches and applied those to the web GUI.  Using the Custom Poller Thresholds function, I can set where I am alerted when a device reaches the set threshold.  This gets displayed on the icon for the affected router (in top part of photo).  I would like to have it displayed in the text of the "Device Temperatures" of the affect device under "Current Status", vice the icon.  Is this possible?

This is possible, though it requires using a slightly different approach than the default "Custom Poller Threshold" which only highlights icons. To show the threshold status or temperature value directly under the "Current Status" text or in a clear textual format, consider the following approach:

• If the temperature data is numeric, confirm the threshold logic is properly defined within the UnDP (custom poller).

2. Use a Custom Widget (Custom HTML or Custom Table Widget):

• Go to the device details page (Settings → Manage Views → select your device's view).

• Click Customize Page.

• Add a widget, preferably Universal Device Poller Status or Custom Table Widget.

3. Configure the Widget:

• Choose your temperature UnDP.

• Configure columns to clearly indicate:

  • Device name

  • Current Temperature

  • Threshold exceeded (custom condition as text)

4. Custom Conditional Formatting (Optional but Recommended):

• You can use a SWQL or a Custom Query Widget for more powerful formatting:

5. Embed the Widget in Device View:

• Place it prominently under "Current Status" or your chosen section.
