SAM Administrator role not picked up using SAML authentication.

I have SAML authentication setup for my Orion platform, and it works for all users assigned to the Azure security group.  However, the SAML group in Orion is assigned the SAM Administrator role and that is NOT picked up when logged in.  I can login directly using a Windows AD account or a local SW account and the SAM admin rights are there.  What could be causing this?
