We are testing a FortiGate 90G firewall. I don't see a connector for this specific unit in SEM. Will one of the other connectors work for this unit?
I don't have that particular model of Fortigate to test with, but my basic recommendation would be to try one of the existing Fortigate connectors, like this one (Fortigate 5.0+ And Forti ADC Load Balancer):I do understand that it does not call out "90G" explicitly, but as long as the device is using the same syslog format as the other Fortinet devices did, that one may very well work.If one of the connectors above works, great! you're done!If it does not, there is a Syslog Generic connector that you can use instead. It won't parse everything into distinct fields as well as a well-defined connector would ... but it will get the info into the system so that it is searchable.The Syslog Generic connector isn't really intended to be a long-term solution; it's just a stop-gap. For a longer-term solution, you have an option of opening a tech support ticket to ask them to create a new connector. In this case they would ask you for some information and most likely would ask for a log sample.
