I just noticed we have some Virtual Machine & Virtual Host custom properties that no one knows about. I just need to know what their used for or if they were created by SolarWinds itself.
The DB tables that hold or reference these custom properties are:
Orion.VIM.VirtualMachinesCustomProperties
Orion.VIM.HostsCustomProperties
Orion.VIM.TagCustomPropertiesMapping
Orion.CustomPropertyUsage
And an example of the custom properties is:
- _1_0___location_vcenter_ad_domain
- servername_location_vcenter_ad_domain
- department_location_vcenter_ad_domain
- application_location_vcenter_ad_domain
- a_application_department_vcenter_ad_domain
SolarWinds is showing the CP usage is for alerting, filtering, grouping, reporting & entity detail but it's not actually being used for any of those functions.
The more that I look at it, everything looks on the up & up, but it's really odd
