Need to know if there is a way to monitor API calls to external sites

Need to know if there is a way to monitor API calls to external sites using SolarWinds SAM or another component. As a proof of concept, we might monitor calls to the JIRA API. I am new to APIs but not to SolarWinds. If there is a recommended generic template that would help greatly.

Are you talking about monitoring if an API is online and accepting calls generally? Or are you looking to monitor real-life API calls as part of an existing integration?
