Filter or automatic choose resource on List Resource

Hi, As a daily user and system integrator working with large-scale SolarWinds deployments, I’d like to propose a quality-of-life improvement for the ListResources.aspx page (Add Node > Choose Resources to Monitor).

Problem:
The current UI lists hundreds to thousands of SNMP interfaces, volumes, and resources with no filtering or search functionality.
For large environments:
Manually selecting resources is time-consuming
There’s no way to filter by keyword (e.g., select only wan, xe, trunk or exclude ha, lsi, tap)
This becomes a real bottleneck during onboarding or bulk provisioning

Feature Suggestion:
Please consider adding a simple filter panel above or below the “Select: ALL / NONE...” section in ListResources.aspx, with:
Input boxes for Include keywords and Exclude keywords
Checkbox for "Select Matching" vs "Deselect Matching"
Optional regex support (even basic *wildcard or contains match)

Now We use scripts with Tampermonkey to help us filter, choose resource faster, but We really hope SolarWinds team can be considered for future releases.

Thanks for the feedback. I've captured this internally under OSHPD-434. We do have plans to migrate the List Resources page in the future but it is not on an active roadmap at this time.

There are options via the API that can allow for selected items from a List Resources this might be an work-around for now.

While this being built in would be amazing - I have used the API sample scripts that @chad.every mentioned and created my own list resources script.

The job results are an XML format and once you study the XML Tree it is able to be iterated over to make whatever choices you want.
