Hey all,
I am in the process of installing dozens of new Cisco 3900 2 switch stacks in a new facility. We have found several stacks where one of the stack slots goes bad after a week or so of being online. I have TAC cases open for each switch and in each instance it is the switch module slot, not the module or stack cable and so the switches are being RMA'd.
My question, I have dozens more stacks to deploy and would like to setup some kind of alert or dashboard monitor to show up for the stacking slot so I know if we have more go down. These are all new switches and I'm afraid I have a bad batch of switches and may see more stacks loose their ring redundancy.
I tried using the "Switch Stack Data Ring Broken" out of box alert but it doesn't seem to be working.
Trying to set something up so I see on my dashboard when any switches StackSub-St#-# slot goes into Shutdown mode.
We are running SolarWinds Platform, Hybrid Cloud Observability Advanced Enterprise Scale, WPM: 2025.1.1
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
