Is there any way to get NetPath averages over a day, a month, 6 months?

Our customer is wanting the stats from NetPath over a longer period of time.

I am a network engineer but not had much experience with SQL. I've tried to create a custom chart in the reporting section of SolarWinds but there is no data over a period of time, only at the time that the report is created.

Hi @LucyMarie19 , from my understanding, you should have 30 days of NetPath data as the default value is 30 days. This value can be increased but please be careful when increasing this value as it will add additional storage constraints on the database.

Also, FYI this table provides an estimate in megabytes (MB) of the amount of storage consumed by SQL Server over a 30-day period (the default retention time) when monitoring a single service:

Sorry, thats not what I'm after.

I'm after a way of exporting the data into a report with the average of the day, month and 6 months.

Have you had a look via SWQL?
Here's a starter for you:

Ahh, yes, apologies for my misunderstanding. I did some research and I'm quite confident that what you're trying to achieve can be done using the SWQL queries and maybe even creating a custom dashboard for this. I'm quite new to all of this, but hopefully I will be able to at least guide you in the right direction.

Start off with these two:
1. Download the SolarWinds Orion SDK and start using SWQL
2. Use SolarWinds Query Language (SWQL) in the SolarWinds Platform

Then you can download one of the dashboards from here, for example the "NetPath Summary" Dashboard

Follow the documentation below to import the dashboard into your own SolarWinds Platform

You can then start creating your own custom queries such as this one, which hopefully will be able to create what you are looking for:

I would definitely use SWQL to get the information into a Custom Query. There aren't many resources you can put on a page related to NetPath
