SAM POWERSHELL SCRIPT MONITOR

Hello Guys,

i created a powershell monitor in SAM, the scripts call an API and returns a JSON this JSON returns some metric and i want monitoring the name of the metric and the value. i did it but how can i alert when the returned value is different from 1

Did you use Statistic in your script? The above screenshot shows it returned a 0 (or nothing).

An example below.

$cpuUsage = Get-WmiObject Win32_Processor | Measure-Object -Property LoadPercentage -Average | Select-Object -ExpandProperty Average
Write-Host "Statistic.CPUUsage: $cpuUsage"

If you mean that the statistic (showed as "0" above) is other than 1, then you simply edit the monitor and set the "critical" thresholds to "not equal to" 1

If you mean "if any of the message string is not a 1", then you have to change the script. In that case I would suggest you return the "statistic" as the count of items that are not a 1, then you can set the threshold for that statistic to "greater than" 0.

That is the general idea. You can use values from your script and use those as your threshold in your template.

I would like that if any value of the message is not 1 it alerts me with the name of the metric that is different from 1

follow my script:

$URL = "">10.80.74.58/.../falha_remota.php" # Substitua pela URL real

$response = Invoke-RestMethod -Uri $URL -Method Get

$modulo_id = $response.modulo_id
$valor = $response.valor

Write-Host "Message: Modulo: $modulo_id, Valor: $valor"
