GIFS on Intelligent maps

Question

I'm trying to use .gifs on the status of some intelligent maps.

I added this to represent a "Warning" status.

but when I look at the map after saving the changes all I see is a static picture like this:

I'm assuming gifs cannot be used on intelligent maps, or is there a work around ?

That is correct.

GIF support, added in 2024.4, is for the main background image only IIRC. Individual map objects have static images based on severity levels. @jvb can correct me if I'm wrong.
