Advanced Configuration - servers not responding message

Greetings All.

Pulling up SW Advanced Configuration we see a banner about "synchronizing is pending for servers..." then "administration service not responding" listing 2 of our polling servers and 1 additional web server.

Last week Advanced Configuration came up with no error messages.

We have restarted the administration service on all the servers, and then rebooted (cold boot) all of the 3 servers. This did not make the error banner go away. Also verified that the Administration service is running and appears to function as expected (using SAM - Orion Observability - 'Additional Polling Engine' and 'Additional Web Site' applications).

Have verified that port 17777 is open both ways between the 3 servers and the Main Polling Engine (using Powershell Test-NetConnection).

One other symptom - Advanced Configuration 'Global' tab configuration items come up as expected. However, choosing the 'Server-specific' tab the web page spins and then times out with a ("Unexpected Website Error - time out) error message.

I welcome any thoughts from the community about the possible cause / fix account for this condition.

I'd advise to open a new support ticket, regarding the issue discussed in this thread about server specific tab in advanced configuration. You may reference the two tickets that the issue is a roadblock for 01892395, but still, each issue should be tracked separately in a different support ticket.

I opened a new case just for the load of the specific server tab in Advanced Configuration. - Case 01900294

SW replied to me that they are having issues with the Server-Specific tab loading in large environments.

We needed the server specific tab to override the global setting for certificate for rest end point. Our Vendor created a powershell script to do the override for that setting. if you have a different setting you should be able to modify the script for the value you need to change. It may be a good one to have on hand.

Hi @robert777 , I found that multiple other people seem to have a similar experience with the timeout on the ServerSpecific page. We're digging into it

We noticed the same issue after upgrade to 2024.4.1. Which version are you at?

We're on 2024.2 .Did you find anyway to workaround it...anyway to set some server specific settings maybe with a script?

We've had one open for getting our company signed certificate to be used, but we have hit the wall with possibly needing the server specific tab to work in Advanced Configuration. Case 01892395
