i'm not pretty sure if i done it right, so i need to verify.
first of all, we evaluate dameware as possible new product instead of teamviewer.
the dameware host instance is running on 443 (changed by us) and is available on the internet.
i've installed DameWare Mini Remote Control on my support box (which is outside the company) and try to connect to the company via 443.
i tried to enter ip:port as hostname, did not work out, so i changed the seetings with rightclick on the DmaeWare Mini REmote Control Properties and changed that port to 443.
i did the same on the Dameware Mini Remote Control Settings window, changed the setting to 443 on tab "Remote Options" for the Host but still no success when connecting.

but stil not connected successfully. i'm sure something is missing.
