It seems like I have to specify a user name and password for each device which makes changing the password a major pain.
you can set your connection profiles in NCM SETTING
Yeah but when you configure the CLI polling function it does not allow you to enter a connection profile just a user name and password. How do you reference the connection profile to be used as the login account for polling.
Manage Nodes - Select a node - Edit Node, scroll to the bottom and choose your connection profile
Thanks for the replies. I do get this about the connection profile but when you configure the Cisco/Palo Alto CLI and API polling it specifically asks for a username and password without providing an option for connection profile from NCM. If just leave it blank you get an error, if you put in the wrong credentials it checks them during the submit and will flag it and not turn on CLI/API polling because of invalid credentials. I am trying to make sure I can't use the NCM connection profile or global default for the Cisco/Palo CLI/API functionality.
I don't have any to try, but possibly refer to the admin guide on what these specific settings do?
Thank you. Yep I hit that box and you get another one that asks for a specific username and password instead of letting you choose a connection profile or even default from what I can tell. I am just trying to confirm .
I hope this works!
