SNMP issue on solaris servers

I am using snmp to connect solaris servers. The connection was working fine but i reinstalled solarwinds and after that the snmp is not working. SNMP is failing when i try to test the snmp with the solaris server. It was working fine before the reinstallation. All the solaris servers went down after that.

Did you install on a new server with a different IP? Maybe ACLs? Firewall? Did you also select a new database and did you then enter the correct SNMP Credentials?

many possibilities there given the information provided.

We installed the solarwinds with the same ip and name just the os is changes. We are facing issues with solaris devices only rest of the devices are running fine.DB and everything is same.

Did you switch name and IP before or after running the configuration wizard on your new machine?

Try the following 2 commands to check the Engine assignment in Database manager: (I might need to check tomorrow as I am writing this from memory on my mobile)

select * from engines

select engineid, count(*) as [Assigned Nodes] from Nodes

group by EngineID

if the second query has results with an engineID that is not in your first query, you need to reassign the nodes to the correct engineID

we created a server with xyz name and then we powered off the old server removed it from n/w and transferred the old server name and ip to the new server
