How can we detect which devices we added to Solarwinds using the SNMP method are currently failing the SNMP test?

Is there a way to get a report of the devices that we added to solarwinds with the SNMP method and that fail the SNMP test at that moment? I am looking for a method other than checking the Unknown machine type, LastSystemUPTimePollUtc and cpu memory data. Despite the combination of these three, when I test, the SNMP test can also be successful. There must be a way to alarm and report this.

This is a perennial issue and there is no straightforward answer.

However, @monitoringlife [THWACK won't let me tag them] configured an alert and shows the details here: Detect a hung server, nonresponding state - he also created a dashboard to show this and that post is a couple above the one I linked.

Below options will help you in building it the way you want (this will narrow down the ones that needs attention - like say SNMP issues):

1. Use the default "node not polled in last 10 minutes" alerts or modify it accordingly.

2. Build you own custom swql alert - Alert on Nodes that stopped responding to SNMP - Forum - Network Performance Monitor (NPM) - THWACK , very old thread you will need to convert the condition accordingly which suits your need on the current version (but yes that should be fairly simple) to list the nodes which are not responding to SNMP.

Yes, these the queries you sent as url works for now, but it's still not 100% what we want. In some cases, there might be issues with SolarWinds polling, and the LastSystemUpTimePollUtc may not be updated correctly. I don't think this necessarily means that the SNMP test is failing. From an application like SolarWinds, I would expect a detailed and specific report, indicating that the SNMP test is failing or showing the exact error. Something like an SNMP walk output that isn't entirely dependent on SolarWinds. I will open this as a feature request.
