How to Add Windows Clusters and SQL AAGs to SolarWinds Monitoring

Hi everyone,I need help with adding Windows Clusters and SQL Always On Availability Groups (AAGs) to SolarWinds monitoring. <br />We have 7 SQL AAGs and I&#39;m looking for the best practices to monitor them effectively using SolarWinds SAM.Specifically, I&#39;m interested in:- Steps to add Windows Clusters and SQL AAGs to monitoring.- Any known issues or tips for monitoring SQL AAGs.- Recommendations for setting up alerts and reports.- How to check SQL AAG status and sync status.<br /><br />Please help with recommendations.

You can just add the separate servers as monitored. I would also add AppInsight for SQL on them. Gives great info. BUT, AppInsight for SQL does not understand AAG's. If the database are "not readable" on the secondary AG node, they will be grey/unknown in SAM.

To monitor if the AAG's are in sync you can use below SQL query and add that to a SAM SQL Component. It shows how many AAG's have issues and the name of it. Alert if value is >0
