In addition to what jklundy says maldonado real estate, you can also have a powershell etc script which can perform a bit more browser interaction, or you can also use SWO/Pingdom etc

Come to think of it, in additon to what I said, if you've got a api call which logs in, then that as a component works well. The browser may use that stuff to login behind the UI anyway

If you want to just check that the page is served properly, you can use the HTTPS component monitor and add a keyword check.

If you want to actually complete a login process, you will need to use Web Performance Monitor (WPM) and not SAM.
