For example: If you have 2 separate sites and a dedicated Orion Server, each site has 1000 different nodes group between 15 Teams. * How can you setup SolarWinds Alert efficiently to send to each respective team depending on the node that triggered the alert for a node down alert as an example? * If your answer is to setup or use custom property (CP) to be assigned per group, then does it mean you need to setup 15 node down alerts separately and assigned based on CP? * Then if you have 150 enabled alerts, does it mean you need to create separate alert per teams for them to receive the alerts only for their devices? * Then total alerts would blow up from 150 to 2,250‬ if you created specific alerts per team (15 teams). This will definitely impact Solarwinds APP and DB performance, is it? * Kindly advise what is the best or optimal approach to meet the requirements without affecting the performance and limiting the horror and tedious management of alerts with this kind of environment. Best or Optimal approach on creating same alert that will be sent to different teams or recipients

For example: If you have 2 separate sites and a dedicated Orion Server, each site has 1000 different nodes group between 15 Teams.

How can you setup SolarWinds Alert efficiently to send to each respective team depending on the node that triggered the alert for a node down alert as an example?

I'm not sure why you say the linked articles don't answer the concerns?

I use that approach.

Concern 2: No, just 1 "node down alert" that notifies to recipients in the custom property. In my case, I use PagerDuty instead of email, but the concept is the same.

Concern 3: Not separate alerts. The ACTION in the alert is based on the CP - email distribution, or PagerDuty API key, SMS (ugh, really?) list.

Concern 4: Nope, still 150 alerts.

Basically use the CP as a variable in the Alert actions.

Thanks for your answers.
Yes, we have SMS alert action setup in our environment, and I am concern that using Custom Property may not work on our alert action.
We use "Send a GET or POST request to a web server" alert action and I'm not sure if using custom property to fill up the mobile number of each group members will be possible.

Currently we have separate alert action per group member for 1 alert just to send SMS to them, hence the reason i'm posting this concern as I'm worried about the Solarwinds server performance if alert numbers will increase due to the complexity of the alert actions.

What would you recommend if our requirement is to have an SMS alert action to be sent to specific group members mobile number when using "Send a GET or POST request to a web server" action?
