I am trying to work on creating an asset inventory report that only applies to our network switches and firewalls. Plus displaying the name, software version, ip and etc. If anyone can provide some guidance it would be appreciated.
One of the main problems with inventory lists in the SolarWinds platform is that some data may not be in the database tables for the different vendors or even different models. Most of what you are looking for will be available in the report picker. However, I would plan on separating some things into different content blocks like this:
An alternative would be to use multiple reports where you find the data is different between vendors, models, etc.
At Tobias International this is one of our most requested reports. The more diverse your inventory is the more complex your reports will need to be to capture the information you want.
