We are trying to migrate SAM nodes from one solarwinds server that has the SAM license on to, to another Solarwinds server that was licensed for using NPM.
We added a temp license to the NPM server, installed the SAM application and started to add the nodes.
When we looked in 'Manage Nodes', the newly added nodes don't appear (these nodes are our UPS's which we were managing on the original SAM Solarwinds server.
When we tried to add the nodes manually one by one, it comes up with a message saying 'IP Address is already monitored'.
When we click on the 'I am having trouble with this node, re-add it', this lets me add it again but it still doesn't appear in 'Manage Nodes'.
Any ideas?? We have open a support case with Solarwinds but so far they don't have a solution
