Alert Limit Frequency

Hi All,

I am alerting on a component and created a new alert as well. Problem is like we need to limit the alert in 24 hours. For example if alert triggered now then it should not trigger for next 24 hour even if trigger condition is matching. That alert should trigger only once in a day. Please let me know is there any way to limit the frequency of alert.

In the alert definition, go to the 'reset condition' tab and select 'reset this alert automatically after', then give it the number of hours needed, probably 23 in your case. This will keep the alert active and won't retrigger until that time period has expired.

Hi @fop , thanks for responding. But this is a another problem that till 24 hours that ticket will be opened and will not ae able to close as it is still open. Is there any way even after closing that alert or resetting that alert new alert should not generate for next. 24 hour even if the trigger condition is matching. In simple line I need this alert once only and should not retrigger..

So you want the alert to fire at say, 1pm, but you want that alert to immediately go away and not fire again until 1pm the next day even if the trigger condition matches?
