Is there a way to add a custom view from SolarWinds backend Database into SWQL?

I have been asked as DBA to create a view querying some external data to Solarwinds that our Solarwinds team would like on one of their node dashboards.

So far we have this data in the backend SQL Database as either a table or a view however we can not get it into SWQL Studio to be utalised in the dashboard.

Is there any documentation on how SWQL determines which tables/views to show, as it appears some are present from the back end database and others are not, but the naming convention is different on them all.

I believe the answer is No, though if anyone figures out as way it'd be cool

Doesnt mean you cant use the data anywhere though, but it rules you out of Modern Dashboards and some other stuff

(In general you want to use SWQL over SQL so that when the schema changes during patching your dashboards and alerts dont break)
