Does anyone know where the SolarWinds agent gets the value for the 'Location' field on Windows machines?

For WMI/Windows Agent, obtain the location from the ActiveDirectorySiteName, stored in the following WMI class:

Weston's answer is correct, if it sounds too technical: Open AD, search for computers, open the server, it's what you think it is on that page.

If you're entering into a push to fill out that location correctly, add location in a format acceptable to Mapquest and you'll get GPS plots on the worldmaps for free.
