Updated - Reuseable Alert Templates to Support Solarwinds 2024 version.

Hello,

I wanted to know if there are any updated alert templates that can be used with the 2024 version of Solarwinds.

Did you try those alerts and find that they didn't work in some way? I can't think of much that has changed in the world of alert variables since then.

oh yeah, so whoever made that template wasn't using the built in alert variables for some reason, im not even sure why. Probably they were trying to get too fancy with SQL. Good lesson for you and others, don't do that unless you are equipped to debug changes to SQL on each release.

Probably you could take those templates and strip out any of the custom SQL stuff and just look for the relevant native variables using the insert variable button in the GUI.

These examples are much more sane, and most of the people in the thread are still active in the community so you might actually be able to get a hold of them.

There's a whole stack of OOTB ones in your platform as default

Where those dont do it, worth thinking about what specifically is missing

Alerting for the sake of it isnt worthwhile

The out-box are Ok and has always have been that way. It would be nice to have templates that could be compatible with each software release. Example: Like SAM Application templates that can be downloaded for use. Just something cleaner for emails.
