Cisco switch backup not running in Orion

Hi

I have purchased a new Cisco switch - Cisco CBS350-16P-2G-EU

The node has been added into Solarwinds Orion and has live active monitoring, however when I added the Node into NCM (Network Configuration Manager) and go to run a 'start-up' backup I receive the error:

Transfer Status:

Connection Refused by (IP Address)

All other switches, although a different model (Cisco Catalyst 29xxStack ), are within NCM and take their scheduled daily config backup.

Would I be missing a setting or config ?

Short answer: "Yes"
Medium answer: Kinda depends on all sorts of stuff, but ultimately if you've got that error there's something on the request sent to the device that the device said no to. I'd try creds first.

I am guessing the standard global config that you use in your firm is placed on all switches, I wouldn't know what it is but that this should be as part of Standard procedure. Pull up the details/config of the working switch against the one that is not working (this device) - compare the configuration settings - I am sure something would be different. I once had an issue with encryption algorithm being used for my switch which was not supported by SolarWinds. @adam.beedell is absolutely right.
