Best way to update the IOS version post firmware upgrade?

We have been performing IOS upgrades and I notice the IOS version doesn't automatically update in the db afterwards.

I assumed we have to schedule an inventory update, but this had no effect. Rediscover nodes works, but this seems a bit drastic. Is this really the only way to see your new IOS version? Shouldn't something be built into the firmware upgrade process?

We don't reboot immediately after IOS transfers, rather we schedule a reboot job on a separate day. Is this why we have this issue?

There have been some issues with the device pollers in recent versions of Solarwinds as they were broken in one of the recent upgrades. If you are on (IIRC) anything from late 2023 to 2024.2 then at least one or more of those versions was affected.

It might be as simple as you need to update to 2024.2.1 which I can confirm fixes this issue for us.

If it isn't that, then not sure what else the issue could be as a simple 'poll cycle' for us usually updates it, or maybe a force refresh due to a cache issue might be required.
