Powershell Monitoring with mounted disk

Hello Everone ,

I am trying to monitor some log files. And I am using log parser (Powershell) template. For testing purpose I have created new log file under c:\ disk and i searched 'error' keyword and everything looks fine.

In fact , I want to monitor logs under shared paths. My customer mounted on Solarwinds Server some log folders and files from NFS server (linux). On the Solarwinds server , I am running exactly same script for the mounted disk and Its working.

But When I run the same script in the solarwinds APM UI. Its not working APM says , the log files not found.

What am i missing ? any thoughts ?

You running the script in local mode targeting the polling engine which has N: mounted to it?

I can see the top line in that script that says 'Arguments example', so is the script in your component monitor expecting the arguments and starts with

$logfile_path = $args[0]
$regex = $args[1]

instead of what you're showing us from the ISE where those variables are populated manually?

Can you send a screenshot of the complete expanded component view please.

Yes , but 'Arguments example' just an example and command line , I gave myself a manual path instead of a variable.

Unfortunately I can't take screenshots because I don't have access to the environment at the moment, but I am using the default log parser (powershell) template and I disabled the argument variables and entered the path manually. This method works for any file under the C:\ disc, but not for the mounted and mapped N:\ disc. Therefore, I think the problem is that Solarwinds cannot see the mounted N:\ disc, but I have no idea how to solve it.

I dont think so, but if you'd said anything else I'd have recommended changing it. (Particularly if you're remote you'd need to define N$ instead of N: for example)

Try running
