Problem limiting discovery resources

Question

I am rescanning all of our UPSes in Solarwings, and I do not need to poll all the Volume Utilization or even CPU & Memory.  I thought I could stop those from being part of the Resources of the Node with the Define Monitoring Settings and use the Automatically monitor based in defined settings, but that doesn't seem to be removing the resources I don't want. Do I need to remove the nodes first and then run this scan or should it work and over right the resources listed

Will any of the check boxes in the " Choose what to Monitor " section keep me from monitoring the battery status> I'm thinking of leaving the Hardware -> Physical still checked for this reason.

That's what I was thinking. I'll do some remove and rescans.

Discovery will never remove things, it only adds objects.

If these devices are new setting up the automatic import should keep you from bringing in that extra stuff you dont need, but if they have already been added it wont remove them.
