Application Template Status Codes

Hi,

Does anyone have the various status codes of the SAM application templates based on statuses? For instance, the actual code when the template is in an Unmanaged or Unknown state? I believe the possible codes are 8, 1 etc..

I have a dashboard where I need to specify the actual code so the availability status excludes when the SAM template was unknown or unmanaged.

I think SAM is:

Exit Code	Meaning

Any other value	Unknow

But the StatusInfo view in SWQL also has the following (and you can use that data in your custom queries for dashboards):

Thank you both, seems 0 is Unknown and 8 is Unmanaged for the SAM Templates. I have a dashboard for reporting the percent availability for different component monitors and I wanted to exclude the times, the template was unmanaged or down.

Just as a note, most of the time it's easier if you just always return with exit code 0, and use the variables to set the status at least for the warning and critical status. If you want to use the "down" status, then you have to do that from the exit code. It gets really confusing if you exit with 3 (warning), but you look at the thresholds and they are all good. Exiting higher to the "unknown" state can be confusing , because it can also become "unknown" other ways, such as it just exited unmanaged, or was just recently created. Avoid confusing yourself in the future. you can always just write out a "statistic.code:" in addition to the other statistics variables and set it to whatever you want, and make it meaningful to you.
