Request for SW Platform Service Manager

Hi Team,

I need your help to understand something. Please take a look at the screenshot of the Orion Service Manager where you can see three services that are in a stopped condition in both MPE & APE.

This screenshot was taken before the SW platform upgrade.

Please refer to the screenshot below for both MPE & APE. This screenshot was taken after the SW platform was upgraded to 2024.2.0. All services are running, but SolarWinds JMX Bridge is not present in the screenshot.

After reviewing both screenshots, can you please check & confirm if everything is fine, or if anything needs to be checked or fixed?

Are you running your SolarWinds environment in FIPS Mode? JMX would then be disabled. If you do not have any SAM Monitors that have JMX Templates you can ignore JMX Bridge not running.

WPM is not included in HCO License but installed. As long as you don’t have a WPM License, these services are expected to be stopped.

We have only, NTA and NPM modules in our environment.

I don't know in which mode Solarwinds environment is running here whether it's FIPS or not. Is there any way to check this myself?

I don't think JMX is required for NTA,NPM. SAM uses JMX for monitoring for

Agentless and Windows polling: Use the JMX Bridge Service
Linux polling: Run JMX queries locally through the SolarWinds Platform agent itself

Just like @Sriram_1 Mentioned, JMX is only used for SAM.
