Alert GET action variables in URL?

I want to insert the node IP in the URL line of a Get or POST in the URL line for a trigger action.  How would I do this?  This way, I can send a command to the device to perform some action based on what I tell it in the Send URL.  

Can I use cURL syntax in the URL or does SW not care what I place in this line?

You can do that, you'd use some variation on the ${NodeIP} format or caption or whatever. Set up a macro that works as an email action, then copy from there.
Cant use cURL like that

You could set a python handler script up to take arguments and cURL them, then you could call the script with those arguments as the action if you wanted curl specifically

You can also use a powershell handler to avoid needing to install python etc.
