SAM Templates where Debug is overridden?

I'm looking to locate any and all SAM templates deployed where the Advanced option for debug is overridden. That is if the template is set to debug off globally, but someone has gone into a deployed template on any given target and overridden it to turn debug on, I want to find them and set them back to inherit the value from the template.

From my testing it looks like you need to look in the [dbo].[APM_ApplicationSetting] table.

In my lab, i get one result. Which is a template i overrode with the debug option.

When i run your query it returns the incorrect AppID and Node Name.

Ok, I am assuming I can change true to false here.

So no, while that did help me find all the global templates that had debugging enabled, I'm looking for the deployed templates where that setting is overridden.

So I wouldn't know the SWQL way to do this but thinking out of the box and more manual.

What you can do on the polling engine is navigate to C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\APM\ApplicationLogs do a *.* in search, change the view to details and expand the folder path so it shows you the full path, what you want is the number in AppID. Folders that have more than two logs will be applications that have the debugging enabled. Use the number from the AppID and navigate to https://InsertSWServer/Orion/APM/ApplicationDetails.aspx?NetObject=AA:NumberHere then you can turn off debugging.

Not quite the way you wanted but still fairly easy to accomplish.

If [some of] your apps are set to run remote you might have to look on the remote machine for these files too.I believe the process is similar.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have 23 APEs so I'll have to script this approach.

Your query worked spot on! Thank you. My query used APM_ApplicationTemplateSetting and was useful to find the global template setting where Debug Logging was enabled. It probably did not need the nodedata table at all, but I had it because I was looking for node level deployed templates where the override was on. Each template I went to in SAM settings, I found that it was enabled and when I disabled it, my list got smaller and smaller down to 0 when all templates had been updated. Your query returned 12 rows for me, and then 11 when I edited the application template on the node to use the template. Thank you again.
