Twilio Success Anyone?

So when I search for Twilio, a few older posts show up. some don't really go anywhere, some reference push notification apps, some say it should be super simple. The thing that I find lacking is any strait forward pointers or examples. Has anyone had success with NPM alerts going to Twilio? Am I missing something obvious?

@ClulessMorgan , it's been a bit since i tested Twilio in a lab, but this was the screenshot i took from a few years ago. This was an alert actions of 'Send a GET or POST Request...' I hope that gives you a base to work from. I obfuscated my Twilio account ID in the URL and the to/from phone numbers in the body.

@ClulessMorgan - Not sure this is what you need but in order to integrate SMS messaging for SolarWinds Alerts, you can integrate SolarWinds Alerts to SolarWinds Service Desk, and from there, you can send notifications to Twilio. This may not be the resolution you need but it sure is a possibility. Hope this helps.

I guess I should clarify this would be for NPM/SAM. We don't have Service Desk.

it won't be that straightforward but still doable.

First you need to understand the Twilio Messaging API Programmable Messaging API | Twilio

You then use an AlertAction -> WebHook REST API to trigger Twilio.

I personally only have integated WhatsApp/Telegram/Teams/Slack but in the backend it's all the same.

It can't be a million miles from pushing alert actions to PagerDuty. I've configured that and it's not too difficult. You could probably work around something along the same lines? www.pagerduty.com/.../

Just tested this as by your example, I wanted to avoid Basic Auth, but wasn't successful in using the Token authentication.

However it seems not too difficult, and Twilio is showing examples

Thank you @chad.every ! This is what i was looking for that I couldn't find. Yes, I understand Twilio has a specific format, but I was missing how to create that format in a way that NPM would understand. This is working perfectly!
