SWQL Studio

i've been trying to login to SWQL studio and all i've been getting is the error displayed in the picture. Anything i might be doing wrong? Because all credentials are correct. Do i need to connect to the MPE or solarwinds database server?

ERROR MESSAGE!

Unable to connect to Information Service. Could not connect to net.tcp://[SERVERNAME]:17777/Solarwinds/informationService/v3/Orion/ssl. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:21.0458486. TCP error code 10060: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond [SERVERNAME]:17777

Jokes aside probably the port's not open between where you are and where the MPE is

checking if the the ports really open or closed ...and as for the error message i updated my question so please check again

Connect to the MPE not the database server. It looks like you are not able to connect to port 17777 (SWIS). Test to make sure the port is open by opening PowerShell and do a test-netconnection (tnc) against 17777 to make sure that is opened from where you have the SDK installed. Your screenshots are very small and hard to read, pls repost with larger ones and we may be able to help.

Pre 2024.2 Port 17777 was used, beginning in 2024.2 the port was changed to 17774. If you have a current version of SWQL Studio you should be good. If you still can't connect, consider if there are any firewall rules in place that would prevent you. You could test port 17774 from your workstation to the main polling engine's IP.
