Testing a new SW instance, which seems to be set to all default retention policies. For example, the Polling Statistics Interval is set at the Default Node Statistic Poll Interval of 10 minutes with DataBase Settings set as Detailed Statistics Retention of 30 days, Hourly Statistics Retention of 120 days and Daily Statistics Retention is set to 365 days. If my understanding of SW statistics retention periods is correct, I'm expecting the following:
Time Period Expected Stats Retention Actual Stats Retention
One week period within past 30 days 10 Minutes 36 minutes
One week period between 31-120 days past 60 Minutes 60 minutes
One week period greater than 120 days past Daily Daily
To get the actual data, I am selecting an active node and active statistic to capture e.g. Memory Utilization. I click on the Mem Utilization guage for that device, which brings me into the New Analysis Project chart. I select the appropriate time period of interest e.g. one week period greater than 120 days past and export the resultant project to a CSV. Opening the CSV I can quickly determine the time interval (duration) between each data collection point.
As can be seen above, 2 of the 3 stats come out exactly as expected. But why does my data show the "one week period within the past 30 days" as exactly 36 minutes? I've got almost 200 data points captured and each and every one of them is 36 minutes, not the expected 10 minutes.
