How to create alert that will send me an email when interface is sending discards

Question

How do I create a rule trigger to send an email when interface Te1/0/1 is transmitting discards? I have been trying to create one but my logic is wrong. I get it to work on matching the interface but the discards party doesn't trigger.

1. interface -interface name-is equal to TenGigabitEthernet1/0/1

2. Interface-Transmit Errors/Discards-Current Value is greater than 100.

It doesn't trigger. I take line 2 out and it triggers.

I dont know SWO alerting well, but you should consider working on discards as percent of traffic speed, some discards are fine, and you'll have loads of noise for high-use links with low static thresholds

Have you tried 1 instead of 100?
