Test Failed, add Node

Hello

actually I am trying to add node via snmp v3 once I test i get test failed, I tried the same credential on another device it worded, I tried snmp v2 it worked, I checked the credential on the device many times it is correct so I want to ask where I can find the loges for this problem

Some more info is required to help you. What node are you trying to add? Windows system, Cisco switch etc? If Windows, after some reading, Microsoft never implemented SNMP v3 on any of its Windows releases.

Cisco switch only this device, I tried to search for the logs but I couldn't find it

I presume SNMP v3 has been setup on the switch?

Actually the problem is not because of the snmp configuration, because same I did it on other switch it worked smoothly

https://www.comparitech.com/net-admin/snmpwalk-examples-windows-linux/ is a command line tool for windows/linux/mac that can be used to test SNMP. It supports version: 1, 2c or 3. Could be helpful for troubleshooting.

I would definitely verify your SNMP configs on that switch. Also, in my experience, your SNMP local accounts on the switch do not get touched very often by the administrators so passwords get lost. Resetting the password and verifying the account is unlocked would be a good item to check as well. Thanks!
